What have year 6 been doing this week?
This week we finished reading our class novel, There's a girl in the boys' bathroom. We really loved hearing about Bradley, and how he had become so much happier by improving his behaviour and letting people be his friend.
In maths we have started tackling multiplication, using 4 digit numbers, including decimals. A growth mindset has meant that most of us have embraced the challenge.
Science has been switching on light bulbs in our brains as we explore how shadows are created and how light moves. After using torches to experiment with, we came to an understanding about why shadows happen, and also why they change shape and size.
P.E. continues with all of us making improvements in our gymnastics, including having a go at handstands. We've been working on our fitness and endurance in cross country on a Friday, and are particularly keen on playing 'squirrels'!
