This week we started learning about forces and magnetism. We worked in groups to find out what surface created the most friction and we had lots of fun playing with magnets. We will continue with this topic after our Stone Age topic.

In English we have been continuing with writing instructions and next week we will be using the text Stone Age Boy to help us write recounts. In maths we are still working on addition and subtraction and as a class we are continuing to progress well with this.

This week we had seven super readers. Starting next week we will be using a points system to help the children to remember to put their reading records in the basket so we can ensure that children are being rewarded for reading at home.

Reminder! Monday is our Stone Age Day. For the next two weeks our afternoons will be all about the Stone Age. We will be incorporating art, cookery and outdoor learning with our topic.

Our secret word this week is timeline. Over our history topic we will be using timelines to aid our chronological understanding.

Have a lovely weekend!
