Our swimming block at Great Yarmouth High School began this week and everyone tried their hardest and showed the instructor their best swimming strokes. The children were then put into two suitable groups for their personal swimming abilities.

Year 4 are doing extremely well with Music, being taught by Mrs Loveland.  Each pupil has a recorder and beginning to recognise notes and play simple tunes all together.  Myself and Mrs Newman were very impressed on Tuesday afternoon when the whole class put on a short performance - looking forward to the next lively performance already!!

We welcome back our PGCE student Miss Knowles who will be with us until Easter.

In Maths we have been finishing our unit of work on fractions ready to move onto decimals next week.

In Literacy we have looked at Traditional Fairy Tales and how to add a twist for example the Princess and the Pea, but then hearing the story from the peas version.  By the end of the week the class wrote their own story with some brilliant outcomes.
