Bee Musical rehearsals are well under way.
The rehearsals are daily at the moment for our Bee musical which is on 20th March. Thank you to those of you who have returned your ticket request slips already. I hope you have received your tickets safely. They are issued on the day your child returns the slip so make sure you keep them safe. I have had a few people who have asked for more than 2 tickets which puts me in a very difficult situation. We will only be issuing 2 tickets per child to make it fair to everyone. If we have any spare tickets by the end of next Friday (once everyone has had a fair chance to request theirs) then we will consider requests for a 3rd ticket. I hope you understand that this is the only fair way to do it.
This week's featured photo is Ava dressed in her bee costume. The letter outlined the suggested costume that your child needs. We put the photo on to give some inspiration to others. Please let me know well in advance if you are having any difficulties.
The children will not be rehearsing with their scripts after today. The expectation is that they know their lines and song words by now. Remember this counts as reading and can be signed in the reading diary. If your child is a narrator then they can still use a script if they wish to due to the sheer volume of words to learn.
Once again our class won the Superstar Readers competition. We counted the snow break on top of this week so that enabled us to reach 100% for the 2nd time! I'm so proud. I love it when I over hear the children talking to each other about how many stars they have achieved and encouraging those people who are very close to achieving the target. It shows how much they genuinely care.
We have been learning about fractions greater than 1 this week in maths. Ask your child about it. Fractions will continue next week too. In English we will be writing our information reports on our topic of Rivers next week before starting a poetry unit.
Have a great weekend. From Miss Studley and Miss T.
This week's secret word is 'pollination'.
