Fundraising on the move for Sport Relief.
Thankyou for the one pound donations today. Our class raised £25 which will be added to the school total in aid of Sport Relief. The children enjoyed coming in dressed in their sports kit for the day.
This week we have been rehaearsing really hard for the Bee musical. We look forward to welcoming you all in to watch one of the two performances next Tues 20th March. 10.15 start for the morning and 6.30pm for the evening. Children need to be back in school by 6.15 (no earlier than 6pm) for the evening show. Costumes were due in by today but we are not doing our dress rehearsal until Monday so if you are making last minute adjustments then please make sure they are brought into school on Monday.
Tickets have been given out. There are a few remaining for the day performance if anyone wants a spare. There are a few children who have been absent this week so if your child has not been given their tickets please come and ask me or get a message to me.
The children have been learning how to cartwheel in gymnastics with Mr Carr. He was particularly impressed with the whole class and how they listened attentively. As a result, the whole class got a mention in Good Work Assembly. Congratulations to Liam who was awarded the Growth Mindset certificate and Rafferty who won the Golden award for her improved writing.
With so much sickness this week we got 73% for our Superstar Readers stars. Most of the gaps were as a result of illness which cant be helped. We'll try again next week. It was particularly funny in assembly today to see Mr Young dressed as a pink fairy. This is the reward for all of the reading efforts. I wonder which teacher will face the next forfeit.... We need to achieve 80% to find out.
We have a new online tool for the children to try at home. It is called spag.com. Log in details will be given to the children over the next few school days so please check it out and support where you can.
Have a great weekend. The secret word is 'physical'. Let's see how many of you can spell it....
