Creative Writing Week reaches Titanic Proportions
This week has seen the school collapsing the curriculum and immersing the children in a Titanic experience.
They have been exposed to the differences in social classes from First Class to Steerage, they have seen what it was like to be a member of the crew and prepare for departure and service throughout the voyage and they have watched a first-hand account from Eva Hart a survivor of the tragedy.
Using these stimuli, the children have been challenged to write newspaper articles, diary entries and emotive recounts. There have been some amazing examples showing a real appreciation of what it must have been like when Titanic sank.
Well done everyone!
