Homefield pupils travel the world in the style of Phileas Fogg!
This week Homefield pupils have experienced the life of being the fictional globe trotter, Phileas Fogg. Grasping their passports in one hand and their writing implements in the other, the pupils passed through border control, got their stamps of approval and became immersed into the differing cultures of the world.
Pupils have journeyed from China to Canada; from Argentina to Italy and from Tanzania to Australia. We have had exotic fruits to taste, played extravagant instruments and projected ourselves off to more luxurious settings.
Each teacher has not only provided a different country and continent to visit, but they have also instructed the pupils on different genres of writing. Reports, description, poetry, stories, recounts and postcards have all been worked on. It has been a really immersive week with some splendid writing outcomes as the reward. It has also been fantastic to see pupils working in a cross-phase manner. Well done all!
