It's (almost) time to raise the curtain on the men in tights

In this section...

This week has flown by.

The children have loved learning more about the Tudors; the drastic things Henry VIII is will to do to get his male heir has left them shocked. We end our weeks learning on wife number three: Jane Seymour. Next week, we finish our topic by studying the remaining three wives, and his children: Elizabeth and Mary.

All children completed an amazing diary (not dairy!) entry this week from the perspective of Henry or Catherine. The children really captured the voice of Henry/ Catherine, showing great levels of understanding and empathy.

In English we are writing letters of complaints. We have started by looking at formal features. All children have learnt to use a semi colon to separate independent clauses.

In maths we have spent time becoming more confident on interpreting data and calculating the mean.

Robin Hood and the Sherwood Hoodies is coming together. Tickets are now available at the office.  Each child is allocated two tickets. Our morning performance will start at 10 o’clock and the evening performance will start at 6:30 pm (children need to be back at school between 6:00 and 6:15).

Tickets will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for some sunshine!

Miss B :)
