It's been a busy half term so far!
With Christmas rapidly approaching we thought we'd let you know some of the many exciting and challenging things we've been getting up to in year 6 this half term.
In class we've been creating some brilliant pieces of descriptive writing, to try and conjour an image in our readers' heads. Using this as inspiration, we have drawn our own pictures, taking ideas from The Higwayman text that we have been studying, with particular reference to how to draw horses.
Maths has been the land of fractions - adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, finding equivalents, simplifying - you name it, we've learnt it!
Our topic of the Vikings meant we had an exciting trip to Norwich Castle.
We're currently working hard to learn all the words to our Christmas carols before we share them with you in the Christmas carol concert next week, and have enjoyed welcoming Mrs Loveland, and her musical knowledge, into class.
A quick reminder that homework does need to be completed before the end of term please.
