Music, music everywhere!
What a way to welcome half-term and end a week of parents' evenings. Today, our pupils gave me yet another opportunity to state how proud I am of them by showing so much courage and bravery to perform their various pieces in front of a live audience for the first time. The differing levels of abilities mattered little and together formed a worthy showcase of early potential and seasoned prowess. Special thanks must go to Mrs. Loveland and Mrs. Duffield for their help in bringing this event to life and to our peripatetic teachers, who were actively involved in helping their students practise their pieces.
Congratulations to Year 6 for winning the attendance race this week with 98.33%. This victory also gave them the half-term's victory. Year 3 and Reception were the two classes to be below the 96% threshold. Swallowtails won the House Team Points.
It was great this week to see so many families coming in to take an active role in their child's education. Our parents' evenings are a great way for school and home to work together to develop the pupils even further.
I trust you will all have a relaxing and safe half-term and I will see you all again on Monday 25th February.
