Courageous Advocates, we will be!
It has been a relatively quiet week. I have enjoyed teaching Hockey to Year 6 and popping in and out of all classes to see the strong behaviour and application of our pupils. I am also thrilled to see how respectful the pupils have been at lunchtime to one another and adults remembering their table manners and politeness. I hope this continues.
Attendance was won by Year 3 with 100% and Hawkers won the Team Points race. Well done to all concerned. I am pleased that all classes were above the 96% threshold.
The Junior Leadership Team have decided upon their courageous advocacy project and that is to help to end loneliness for the elderly. This has already been shared with the school and contact has been made with the Borough Council department for Better Together (Voluntary Norfolk). We have also registered for a project called Share the Miracle, which will see Easter egg donations shared out to the elderly in our local area. This can be further discussed next Friday, when I have Swallowtail's House Captains as Headteachers for the Day.
Next week it is National Storytelling Week, so let us encourage you to share in some quality novels with your children over the weekend. We also have our musical theatre enrichment sessions and some of our pupils will be representing the school in a local Gymnastics competition at Ormiston Venture on Friday. Good luck to all involved.
Have a fabulous weekend everyone! I do hope the weather improves for us.
