Gymnastics Victory for New Headteachers

In this section...

Headteachers for the Day crown their reign with gymnastics glory!

We, as Swallowtails' House Captains, have been leading the school as Headteachers. Didn't we look the part? Today, we led collective worship, we spent some of the school's money and we carried out a learning walk all about reading. We have had a lot of fun (even better than lessons, but please do not tell Miss. Battle).

This week, we have experienced Musical Theatre enrichment thanks to Go Geronimo. We had to perform dance routines from Matilda the Musical. Some classes got to sing, dance and act. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

There was a Gymnastics Competition at Ormiston Venture Academy and we took part enthusiastically, ending as joint winners in Year 4 with the lovely Hillside and a commendable fifth place in Year 2. Well done everyone, who took part. Thank you Mr. Young for driving the minibus.

Kingfishers won this week's House Team Points and Year 4 won this week's attendance race with 100%. Well done to all winners. Sadly, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 6 were below the 96% threshold.

Next week, we have our PTA disco on Tuesday afternoon and on Friday we have our EYFS Funky Fingers Workshop. I hope parents will be able to attend to support their children with developing key skills at the workshop. Coffee will be available from 8:45 in the Hall.

Please ensure you have a fabulous weekend.
