Exceptional behaviour and maximum effort rewarded at the xc champs.
The staff and parents of 39 Homefield pupils from Years 3 to 6 could not be prouder after their attendance at the inter schools xc champs at Bure Park in Great Yarmouth.
Thirteen schools competed for a top ten finish in each race. Homefield had a total of 7 pupils who finished in the top 10. These pupils will go on to represent East Norfolk in the next round at Holkham Hall in March.
The children had to run between 1000m and 1600m depending on their age. They were very lucky with the weather; it was perfect conditions for a race.
Regardless of finishing position, each pupil gave their very best fighting to the line with maximum effort. The standard of running was high, none more so than in the Year 6 boys event where our boys were literally on the floor with exhaustion at the end!
Congratulations to all pupils for having the courage to participate and thank you to Eliott Eudell (East Norfolk School Sports Partnership Co-ordinator) for organising this brilliant annual event. Good luck to the 7 pupils racing in the next round.
