The 'votes' are in....
We introduced the power of a 'vote' this week in Reception.
At first, the children did not know what it meant 'to vote'. Some guesses included "a boat?" (good rhyming) or "an animal?". We therefore explained that a vote gives you a chance to choose. Everybody's 'choices' are then counted to see which ones gets the most 'votes' and wins. In our classroom, we wrote our name on a piece of paper and placed it on our choice of story. I then read the winning book at the end of the day. We talked about the votes that our 'grown-ups' will be making today to see who will be in charge of our country. The children were very interested in this!
* We enjoyed our last Gymnastics session this week so PE kits can now go home for Christmas.
* We would like to thank the PFA for their donation of £75 to each class. We have bought some beautiful wooden resources for Reception including an amazing 'role play shop set'.
* We thoroughly enjoyed watching both the KS1 and KS2 Christmas performances and we are now feeling very festive!
Our class Christmas Party is on the last day of term = Wednesday 18th December.
All children are invited to wear Christmas or party themed clothing on this day.
