From Year 1....
Sorry we have not had any posts for a couple of weeks!! Year one have helped me to write this week's blog.
Our week started off with some fun Bush Craft with Mr Earle. We found out about different types of trees such as Beech trees, Silver Birch trees, Oak trees, holly bushes and Lyme trees as well as others. We also enjoyed looking at all the Nature in our outdoor area.
During our Maths we have been looking at and identifying different British coins and notes. Also mixing the coins together to make different amounts. We all challenged ourselves. (Maybe at home you could encourage your child to use a purse and pay for small amounts at the shop - they will love it and I am sure you will be impressed!)
During our English we have been looking at poems and different rhymes. We are really trying hard to improve our handwriting and remembering to join our letters!
We are little scientists and have been finding out about different Materials. We have been sorting objects by their materials and whether they are bendy, transparent, opaque and waterproof. (Next week we are going to be using their knowledge to design an outfit suitable for a teddy using what we know)
On Thursday we had a practise of our Sports Days with Year 2 - it was great fun and we are all looking forward to the real Sports day!!
We hope you have enjoyed reading our Blog. We will update you the same time next week.
