Welcome to Year 1
The children have settled in beautifully this week, and have quickly adapted to being in a new class with new teachers. Each of them have been recognised for working hard and setting a good example of behaviour expected within year 1. The class also got recognised by Mr.Young for having 100% attendance for the first 3 days back, we hope this continues!
Mrs Routledge happily welcomed the children on Wednesday, for the first day back to school. All of the children completed some fun activities during the day including some counting to 10, writing about their summer and going on a scavenger hunt in the afternoon. Although it was a long day for the children, as it was the first day back, they coped really well.
Thursday morning Miss Randell excitedly welcomed the children into class. The children adapted really well to having a different teacher for the second day of term. We completed lots more fun activities including games outside and some role play based on the Gingerbread Man. The fun carried through to Friday where we completed some maths based on spiders, wrote some sentences and created a colourful hand for display in class. A big thank you to the parents for being super patient on the door at the end of the day, we will get to know faces soon!
Please remember to bring PE kits in for the children for indoor PE on Wednesdays and outdoor PE on Thursdays. Alongside this, children's books will be changed on Mondays and Thursdays.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing you on Monday!
