Another busy week...
It has been another busy week this week with lots of different activities happening. On Wednesday we had the special lunch, which everyone seemed to enjoy! A special well done to those who are in the choir, they did a great job of singing on the day. Friday was a very busy but fun morning, thank you to all those that came, the children absolutely loved having you all come in and make the Christmas decorations. The 'hand wreaths' will be given to our PTA so that they can be put on a stall so that you can buy them at the Christmas fair (on Saturday 7th).
Maths this week has been focusing on 3D shapes and the children have been learning the names of these shapes and some of their properties. They have enjoyed learning about these, and have spotted these shapes in the classroom etc.
English has been based on Christmas books, which the children have enjoyed reading and creating new pieces of work from these.
Each afternoon has been focused on rehearsing for the nativity, the children are working hard to learn the songs, which are sounding beautiful! Can we please ask if your child has a speaking part, that they try to learn their words for next Friday.
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
From the Year 1 team.
