We have had a busy week practising our Nativity, with most afternoons and some mornings being used to do this. Please bare with us through this time, as it is very hectic with all the adults being used, so if books are a little late etc. we will get on with these as we can. The Nativity is looking amazing and I know the children are super excited to show you all the final performances next week. Can we please remind those that require costumes to bring them in for Monday, so that we can do a complete dress rehearsal.
Maths this week, we have been looking at place value to 20, so this has involved just simple counting, writing the numbers and beginning to count one more and one less than a number. The children have responded really well to this, and this will be carried on with next week.
English has been looking at Christmas stories once again, but this time with repeating words and themes. The children have enjoyed writing their own sentences based on the books and even created their own imaginary home, with some very interesting ideas.
Just a quick reminder that it is our school fair tomorrow (Saturday 7th), and we will be selling your beautiful hand wreathes that you made with the children, alongside some lovely, cute snowman photo frames, which the children created today. Hopefully see lots of you there!
Not long to go now, only one and a half weeks (2 days for Miss Randell) so although this will no doubt be busy, it will be very fun too.
