Happy Christmas everyone...
So this week has been very busy with rehearsals and then the performances of our Nativity. We would like to say a big well done to all of the children in Year 1, as they all did really well and made us very proud. Thank you to those of you whom came to see it, we hope you enjoyed it!
Due to the Nativity, lessons this week have been a bit of a mixture, but the children have coped really well and shown great resilience. Maths this week was continuing with numbers to 20, which the children are flying with. English this week has been more lovely writing and reading based on the different Christmas stories chosen. Next week, we will still be completing some English and Maths activities (Christmas themed) so that the children can continue with their learning, alongside some festive activities of course.
Also due to assessments and the Nativity, we are unable to complete the Rainbow words this week and probably next week, so we shall start again in the New Year.
This will be the last blog before the children break up for Christmas (as this is my/Miss Randell's final few days before the break, although I/she is hoping to pop in on the last day to wish everyone a merry Christmas). So we would like to say a big thank you for any cards etc. that we have/will receive we really do appreciate them! We hope you all have a merry Christmas and happy new year!
From the Year 1 team
