Another busy week with lots of lovely learning happening. The children have enjoyed some extra enrichment this week, with an outside theatre company coming in and teaching the children a routine to the Matilda song 'Revolting Children'. The children loved this, and loved that they could learn some parts of musical theatre. Due to this and some other events this week, some aspects of our normal routine have not gone ahead as planned (e.g. phonics books) but this will go back to normal as of next week.
Maths this week has been focused on missing numbers within addition and subtraction calculations e.g. 13 + ____ = 20. The children have found this quite tricky but they have shown great resilience through their mistakes and struggles.
English this week has been focused on the Meerkat Mail book again, with the Meerkat travelling to the school and getting up to some mischief. The children then wrote some recounts based on his adventure.
We hope that Mrs. Routledge feels better soon!
Have a lovely weekend!
