We do know how to put on a show!
What a wonderful Nativity plat that was! After lots of rehearsals and our dress rehearsal to KS2 this week, we finally got to show you our performance of Born in a Barn. We really enjoyed performing it and I'm sure you were as proud of your children as I was!
We have been finishing off our Grinch instructions this week and ensuring we have all the features included.
In Maths we have been reviewing our learning this half term and practising our 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
We started our new Art topic looking at portraits and self portraits. We explored some famous artists portraits and self portraits like Van Gogh, Picasso, Da Vinci, Kahlo and Klimt. We then learned how to draw a face accurately. Did you know your eyes were in the middle of you head and your ears begin at the middle of your eyes and end at the end of your nose? We will be using different chalk pastel techniques next week to use to add colour to our final portraits.
Don't forget to come to our Curriculum Celebration Event next Tuesday at 2:40 to find out all we have been doing in RE, Geography and Art this half-term. It is also Christmas Jumper Day on Wednesday, so come in looking festive to celebrate our last day before Christmas.
Have a merry weekend,
Miss Everett, Mrs Simpkins and Pixie
