It has been another lovely week in Year 3 :)
In English we have started our block of work based on an extract from The Abominables. We have been using nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. Next week we will be looking at using conjunctions and adding more description to our writing.
In Maths we have been thinking about three digit numbers. We have had lots of fun exploring larger numbers. We have used Mathsbot in our lessons to help us represent numbers in different ways. Here are some of the manipulatives we used.
Next week we will continue to explore three digit numbers and use number lines.
We were rather excited to have our first German lesson this week and we learnt to say hello, good morning and good evening. We even wrote the date in German in our Language Books.
Today we finished our PSHE work based on Here We are. The children have blown me away with their ideas and have shown real compassion when discussing different issues. Today we made our very own notes for living on Earth. Next week we will be starting an RE unit. We will be answering the question What is it like to follow God?
It is lovely to see the children engaging with their reading books and they have shown responsibility when needing their books changed. On Monday we will be checking to see who is a Superstar Reader!
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Clark :)
