Wearing yellow to support world Mental health day

Let's raise awareness

Thank you to everyone who wore yellow on Wednesday to raise awareness for World Mental Health Day.  With your donations, we managed to raise £217.  Brilliant! This will go to the charity Young Minds.

With only 3 school days left of this half term we have been working hard to get on with our fables in English.  We have built on our last unit of English which was story writing, therefore many of the skills are being transferred to our fables.  Ask the children to tell you about our class fable that we started off together.  It features our class frog who is called Flexi.

In maths we have started on our new unit of addition and subtraction. We have been doing column addition without exchanging.

Next week we have a reading, spelling and maths assessment.  In between assessments we will be continuing with the same English and maths topics.

We have enjoyed our art work and have created some moving figures.

Today, the letters for Kingswood went out.  Please ensure you sign and return as soon as possible. I hope that everyone will be able to participate as it is such a rewarding experience and a huge part of your child's social development.

We had 11 children reading the blog last week, which is one more than the week before.

We were joint top for the attendance in the school this week and we have won the most weeks over the half term.  This is fantastic news; keep it up!

The secret word is 'yellow'.

Have a lovely weekend.  See you all for parents evening either Tuesday or Wednesday.
