Wednesday afternoon Fever
Sparks were flying in our electricity dance
It has been a week of lots of variety. Thank you to the parents that joined us for the memorial service at the monument near St Nicholas church on Thursday. It was a very moving service, helping the children to begin to understand some of the sacrifices made in the past 100 years since the end of WW1. If you get a chance why don't you pop down and look at all the wreaths and tributes presented in honour of the fallen.
We have also had a great time at the Theatre Royal today. The production of Awful Auntie kept the children well entertained throughout. It was a lovely thing to experience together and for the first timers maybe it will open up a passion for future trips.
In science, we have finished the electricity part of the topic. We now have a week on sound.
In English we have now finished our work on fables. The next block will be to write a non-chronological report.
We had 19 superstar readers this week. The great news is that everyone read at least once so things are improving; well done all.
In maths we are going to have a week on measurement (looking at length and perimeter).
The secret word is 'sacrifice'.
Have a great weekend. From Miss Studley and Miss T.
