Plastic Pirates are go go go!
Thank you to the parents who came in to see me this week. I hope you found it useful.
I have a few notices then I will let you start your half term break.
Just to clarify....your child can change their reading book on any school day of the week. We have Friday as our designated library book change and it's the only time I prompt the children to change their book, if required, but they can change it on any day so please don't feel restricted.
You will see that your child has come home with their play script this week. Rehearsals for our 'Plastic Pirates' play will commence after the holiday. Please help your child to practise their lines and if they have a non-speaking part there are 8 songs to learn. Also, it is never too early to get your costume organised.
I mentioned Kingswood at parents evening. I checked the calendar dates and a parent meeting has been booked in for the Friday before we go. At first I thought this seemed a little late but on reflection it will be ok. Your child does not need any specialist equipment for the trip. A pair of good walking shoes and a waterproof would be advised. Other than that just their leisure clothes and toiletries. Plus I'll keep you updated on here.
Our next unit of English is a persuasive letter writing. In maths we will be starting a block of fractions. Our next topic is Geography based. We will be learning about countries in Europe. Why don't you start by finding out some capital cities.
Have a great holiday. The secret word is Europe.
