Cricket, Costumes and much much more...

In this section...

A beautiful end to the week with sunshine, cricket and non-uniform.

Thank you all for getting the costumes in by today for our dress rehearsal.  We only have two children who are saying they do not require play tickets but if those parents change their minds there is still time to request tickets by Monday. There are spares available at the moment so those of you who have requested them will receive them on Monday. We look forward to welcoming you to Plastic Pirates on Wednesday for either the 10.15a.m showing or the 6.30pm evening performance.

We have enjoyed a cricket taster session led by Jason Reynolds, who works for Norfolk Cricket.  He delivered an excellent lesson which was very enjoyable for the children. We are always looking for ways to expose our children to new and exciting sports in the hope that they might go on to join a club outside of school time.  Thank you to Mrs Duffield who made this opportunity possible, following a course she attended recently.

We have started our unit on decimals in maths this week.  We have found a very exciting way to engage the children with decimals is linked to time.  If you have a stop watch at home ask them to show you the 10 second challenge game. We are looking at tenths and hundredths.

In English we will be finishing our play scripts unit next week.

We have a lot to fit in next week. Please remember we will be starting swimming on Monday. It is our first of 7 lessons at the pool at the high school in Great Yarmouth.

There will be Easter activities going on next Friday; a letter will be sent home with details.

We will be learning about Eucharist on Thursday by a visit to the church and activities to enjoy back at school.  Find out about it ahead of the day and discuss with your child to enable them to get the most out of the day.

We hope all the mums have a very happy Mother's Day and enjoy their little treat from the children.

Our secret word is Eucharist.

Happy weekend, from Miss T and Miss Studley.
