Raising the roof for Children in Need
Unlike last Friday, I don't mind admitting I feel exhausted! I think non-uniform days always bring that sense of excitement especially with the occassion of Children in Need. Thank you for your donations and encouraging your children to dress up. We raised well over £250 in total; fantastic.
Our featured photograph shows one of our messy Pudsey games in the hall during our assembly. Thank you to the School Council who helped to organise the games and for their contribution with ideas.
In maths this week we have made a transition from perimeter to multiplication and division. We will be contiuning this for the next 3 weeks. Remember to brush up on your times tables. We will be counting in 6s, 7s, 9s, 25s and 1000s.
Mr Earle came in for a session of outdoor learning this week. The children were busy measuring and making Roman Numerals with sticks. They have loved learning about Roman Numerals. Ask your child to show you.
Reminders that next Tuesday is a non-uniform day. Please donate a prize for the tombola that will be drawn at our Christmas Fayre. It is also the school disco that day. On Friday we have a read, share and review session that you are all invited to attend. Come into class at 2.20pm until the end of the day and look through your child's books. Hopefully you will see how much progress they are making. The session is pupil led so feel free to pop in for as long as you can.
This week's secret word is 'hypercaust'. The children should know the significance of that.
