Poetry writing is fun.
We have discovered that being allowed to write a load of nonsense can be quite fun. Some children have struggled to grasp the concept of nonsense poetry as it can be quite abstract but we have read lots of examples and will continue to do so into next week. Ask the children to tell you about their character and see if they can remember their poem.
In maths we are finishing the unit on time. There are still some children who struggle to tell the time which is something that you can help with quite easily. We will be moving onto statistics next week (graphs and charts).
We will be finishing our history topic as it is time to move onto our next science block which is 'Changing states of matter.'
It is our class trip to Colchester Castle on Friday. We will wear school uniform. Please organise a packed lunch (if you'd like to order a school packed lunch it needs to ordered on Thursday). Spending money is optional (up to £5 is suggested). We leave at 8a.m and return by 4.30pm. Please be on time as we can not wait for latecomers.
Have a great weekend,
Miss Studley and Miss T
