Lots to learn during Computing week

In this section...

Happy Half Term

This week we have been learning about computing.  It has involved learning lots of new words and also shows us that we can be involved in computational thinking with or without even using a computer.

Our next block is a science based unit. We will be learning about living things.  This will include animals and their habitats and teeth and digestion. The Knowledge Organiser has been sent out today.  Please spend some time reading it with your child before the new term starts.

In maths we are super excited about starting a new unit on Fractions.

Thank you to all of the parents who attended parents evening this week. It is always good to have that opportunity to ask questions and find out how things are going.

I hope that you can use half term to get well ahead in organising a costume for the play.  It isn't until March 25th but it will soon come round so it might be worth thinking about it, particularly if your child is a farmer, a scarecrow or one of the villagers.

Your child has a 'Spelling Cauldron' in their bag today (along with lots of letters). Please go through the spellings they have found tricky in their learning this term.  The words are specific to them.

Have a great half term.   The secret word is 'Justice'.
