It is our right to be on the receiving end of kindness.
Our final full week of this half term has been another busy one. We have created a lovely display as you can see in this week's featured photograph. We have been learning about children's rights and ways to that we can recognise those rights in our lives. Ask your child which right they chose to write about for the display.
We have started our Geography topic this week. We will continue it after half term because next week we will be taking a break to look at aspects of black history and learn about a few influential people. The children are starting to think about which countries make up Europe. They are enjoying using an atlas. If you have one at home please get it out and see if your child can use the index to find Europe. Please encourage your child to develop their atlas skills at home if you have one, particularly as we will be continuing with Geography after half term for one more week.
In English we have been using conjunctions to join words and phrases within a sentence.
In maths we have been rounding to the nearest 10 and 100. These are all skills they would benefit from practising.
It is such a shame we have had to miss PE and our sports club due to poor weather. Fingers crossed we will be able to hold the final club next Tuesday.
Thank you to all the parents who made an appointment to speak to me. I have a few that I still need to catch. If you are one of those parents and you would like to find out how your child has settled into Year 4 please e-mail me on firstname.lastname@example.org uk
Our secret word is Europe.
Have a restful weekend.
