Assessments over and out

Guess Who?

Have a look at this week's featured photo.  The children are doing some art work in the style of Andy Warhol with Mrs Corby.  Can you guess who the children are in each picture?

Another guess who for you......Guess who won Superstar Readers in the school for the umpteenth time in a row?  We did! With an incredible score of 26 children out of 30 reaching the star target of 5 reads for the week.  That is 87% of the class.  We're so proud of you Year 4.  I have to give a special mention to Christa.  Unfortunately, Christa was away all week poorly.  However, she still managed to read and pass her book to Connie.  I was so impressed; thank you for being so conscientious especially when you are off poorly. Get well soon Christa.  Also a big thank you to the parents for continuing to support your child's reading.

Next week we will be moving around to different classes for our creative writing week.  The children will experience writing in different ways with a focus on countries around the world. Should be fun!

This week not too much to report on the work front because the children have been doing assessments in reading, writing, maths, spelling and spag.  Early indications are looking very positive with the results showing definite signs of progress.  It is very encouraging. Well done everyone.

See you on Monday or Thursday next week for parent evening appointments.  There are still slots available if you need one. Disco tickets will be handed out on Monday ahead of the disco on Tuesday.

This week's secret phrase is 'Wheel of Misfortune'. Ask your children what this means!!!!

Have a great weekend, from Miss Studley and Miss T.
