We'll meet again
Our World War 2 topic is hotting up. The children are enjoying it. Thank you to those of you who have brought in photographs, books and even medals for us to share and enjoy. If anyone with a particular expertise would like to come in to talk to the children please let me know.
Thank you for the enthusiasm you have shown for the London Marathon. I know some of you tracked me and even spotted me on tv chasing a giant lobster! It was my favourite (and quickest) year out of the 6, even in the heat. The support from everyone really helped and hopefully I can inspire the children to achieve their dreams in the process.
Many of you attended the parent meeting for Kingswood this afternoon. I hope you left feeling reassured that your child will be in safe hands and will enjoy a wide variety of activities. If you think of any further questions please come and speak to me. Meanwhile, hand in the 'Vital Information' sheet before the trip so we have your most up to date contact details and any specific pupil needs recorded.
In maths we have been working on decimals again this week. We have a few more lessons on this topic. We will be mulitpling decimals by 10 and 100 next week.
In English we have been story writing using the theme of WW2. We are writing a class story at the moment set in Britain at the start of the war.
In science we are learning about electricity.
We have no more swimming sessions this academic year. Gymnastics continues for a few more weeks. Next week it is on Wednesday as we have the school photographer in on Tuesday.
The secret word is the theme for our Kingswood trip which is 'Adventure'.
Have a great weekend. From Miss Studley and Miss T.
