Week commencing 26th September

We have been very busy in Year 4 since the start of the year.  Everybody has settled into the routines and understanding the expectations of year 4 really well.

Throughout the week we have been reading and exploring instructions and by the end of the week produced some excellent written work.  During Maths we completed a Place Value assessment and Mrs Newman and Mrs Carter were extremely impressed with the progress made since the beginning of the term.  Well done Year 4! We are now focusing on the theme of Addition and Subtraction.  We looked at adding in columns using exchange methods and 'Hardly any work'.

We are continuing out Roman Topic naming Roman's clothing and involved some Latin!  We looking at Mosaics and attempted to create some of our own, as well attempted to build some Roman Catapults which was great fun!

We are really enjoying our PE lesson on Monday with Mrs Carter we have been exploring the larger apparatus creating different balances.  Some people have been very daring! On Tuesday we have been keeping fit outside with Mrs Duffield building are stamina for Cross Country running.

Well done for the Homework which has been completed so far - keep up the good work year 4!
