Homefield Primary represented East Norfolk at the Norfolk Summer School Games, and reached the final, coming away with silver medals.
Homefield Primary School represented East Norfolk in the Norfolk School Summer Games Finals in the year 5/6 High Five Netball Competition, held at the UEA sportspark in Norwich.
The core squad comprising of: Sienna (captain), Maddie, Inaya, Lizzie, Adam; Riley and Seth, played a series of games throughout the morning, winning every game. They progressed into the 'Cup Finals' stage in the afternoon, again triumphing in every game. This led to the team reaching the final. Although losing 5-3 to Cringleford, the children were delighted to take silver out of 16 teams, receiving a medal for their efforts.
The whole competition was underpinned by the Schools Games values of good sportsmanship. One of the county umpires nominated Riley for a very well-deserved fair play award.
Netball teacher, Miss Studley, was overwhelmed by the team's success and couldn't be prouder of the way they conducted themselves in every match. Very well done Homefield.
