At Homefield we believe that every child should be given the chance to have their voice heard. We have worked hard at developing a series of committees that ensure that this happens.
This year our committee structure is as follows:
Junior Leadership Team
The Junior Leaders are made up of our Year 6 House Captains - eight children in total. They all get the chance to be Headteacher for the day and have their own action plan to work on. This team have a lot of responsibility for promoting the school to visitors, assisting to host events and setting a superb example for others to follow.
The School Council consists of children from all classes. They work on making the school a better place and act as the voice of the children. They will also organise events and carry out projects within the local community.
All classes regularly discuss what they think would make the school a better place. Thier views are fed back to the school council.
The safety committee consists of one child from each class. They work with the teachers, caretaker and Governors to ensure that the school is a safe place.
The Worship Committee work with Mr Young to plan and deliver their own collective worship sessions through the year. They also help make assemblies better for everyone.
The Eco Warriors help to keep the school as GREEN as they can. Everything from saving water to growing their own veg.
The Sports Committee work with Miss Studley to ensure that our PE and school sport is as excellent. They also help to plan sports day.
The Caring Crusaders work with the Pastoral Mentor Team to rid the school of bullying and support any children that are struggling.
